The fire of
Love for my
Beloved has
Scorched my Heart
The lamp
Of the Kaaba
Is now lit
At the Tavern
In hope
Of the Effulgent
One displays
Himself
Many a night
Do I keep lit
The lantern
Both at the
Kaaba and the
Tavern.
****************
What may I
Offer that is
Worthy at
Your feet
For my head
Is not /of value/worthy
At your feet.
***********
God have I
Seen – in
The form of
Man
Seen have I
Clearly – God
I have…
You know not
I have seen
Your beloved devotee
Publicly disgraced…
Himself displayed
In myriad colors
His radiance
Seen sometimes
As a slave -
At times as the
Master!
Lost in me
He is –
On account of
Oneness of Being
Not concealed/hidden
But present/visible/apparent
I see Him.
In me He is
As Wahdat al Wajood
In that one drop
Have I seen
The Ocean!
The great
Magnificence
Of Ahmad
Have I seen
Not concealed
But clearly
Manifest!
