Maal, Darya ki tarah.
Wealth and possessions are like a channel of a continually flowing stream of water. The source is Allah, and He replenishes it continually. Rivers, streams and brooks take their share along with all the nations and peoples of the earth too. If you feel that your container is small and what is in it finishes, that means the end – you are wrong; it is continually filling and will never end as long as you keep using and spending from it. Fresh water is being added continually.
The one condition is to keep spending it…no hoarding. Learning to spend is the first step in defying our selfish self. The second step, being, to battle constantly with our selfish and baser instincts and to conquer it. This effort is most difficult in the beginning, but as one gets used to self-denial, it becomes easier, and you have attained the very foundation for spiritual progress.

Someone from the audience said that it was suggested to him that by attending the halqa e zikr every week he was making it an obligatory worship.
Hazrat saheb said that it is well known that the Prophet slm also advised not to give up any prayers/worship once started, should be continued and not given up. He said, that spiritual exercises should not be missed intentionally. Every time you attend it, you receive blessings and abundance. This keeps collecting and like a tree receiving nourishment blooms and prospers so does, your heart grows closer to Allah. Allah is nearer to us than our self, but the purpose of spiritual exercise is to draw near to Allah. If you do not keep up the regularity, you miss this blessing.
